I will be attending Jungle School in Hawaii really soon and i was wondering do any past or present leaders have any helpful advice or focuses i should train up on? Are there also any key go/no go event i need to pass? I have already attended & completed both the Sapper Leader Course & Range School Course so im very familiar with the atmosphere. Any helpful advice will suffice thank you in advance.

My Company sent a group of guys to Jungle about a year or so ago, out of 15-20, only two passed. The biggest go/no go event that got most of them out was knots, our previous PSG failed on tying knots I believe a few months ago (he passed the 2nd time around) and he already had plenty of schools under his belt. Based on that and everything I've heard, knots is the silent killer.

Insects in the area of training, Plant life in the area of training, How to use a bug net, how to use DEET correctly and waterproofing your gear.
Packing your gear in the best way to keep it dry, how to not have a monkey get your chow. You get the idea...How to stay dry and clean.
When I went to Jungle School it rained twice a day, and everything that was pretty would kill you.
