Do I need a secret security clearance to apply to schools?

Hi.
I have a question regarding the security clearance.
Recently, I found out that MAVNI soldiers have got loosened some of the restrictions so that MAVNI's can apply for schools and security clearance by my career counselor.
That being said, I'm trying to apply for AMEDD programs such as MSW and MPS.
Do I need a secret clearance to apply for the schools?
If so, where can I find the info? I have tried to explore MILPER messages, but nothing was there about it.

It's for Clinical Psychology program and MSW program.

It's not necessarily the schools themselves that require the clearance, rather it's the commissioning that requires the clearance. I believe AR 380-67 is the appropriate reference.

The schools you mention are officer programs so you need a clearance. Contact an AMEDD recruiter. But I’d get your clearance going now if it’s something you want to do in the future.

Go into ATARS that will give you all the information and requirements for the specific course you are going to. I remember if you plan on going to specific units that require a security clearance to be assigned to them ie RGRRGT, USACAPOC, Socom, you may require it before being assigned or at least have applied for it ( not having it may be a hard stop right off the bat) 75th ranger and CA bot require a Secret clearance from everyone assigned regardless of MOS from my personal experience.
