Sgt Wayne Wood Illegal aliens should not have the same rights as US citizens, although, in some cases, they have more.

SFC (Join to see) - Perhaps Sgt (Join to see) comment may have been misunderstood here.
In many places illegals arrested for crimes are basically on a catch and release status.
Practical..although absolutely inexcusable.. reasons are that unless the crimes are major, felony level for example, that these non citizens, get cut loose by the local law enforcement authorities. Get cut loose because the cost of feeding and caring for the animals is prohibitively expensive. These cities have limited room for storage of criminals of many types...including citizens... Execution is out of the question , though in many cases in backwater areas a criminal illegal simply has a gun put to the back of the head like a broke leg horse and tossed into a swamp to feed animals..which are protected citizens in many cases.
There's a catch 22 for ya. These people come from shitholes where the practice mentioned previously is the rule rather than the exception.
Is it any wonder criminal illegals are attracted to a country where they literally get off with a slap on the wrist?
Perhaps I give a poor example yet it is still a valid point.
If you or I commit a felony we lose the right to vote or own a firearm.
These nameless and untraceable illegals are simply returned to whatever urban swamp they came from ...free to continue whatever deplorable behavior suits them that particular day.
Maybe if word got around that some of these pieces of useless bagage were actually getting the broke leg horse treatment it might actually improve their behavior.
Of course the large Democratically operated shitholes.....though they be home to mostly good and honest citizens..will continue to encourage the illegals simply by letting them roam free .terrorizing the local populations into submissiveness and maintaining an urban environment where fear is the most useful commodity that the major local warlords (politicians and their bought dog police) who promise an end to lawless and community killing behavior.., at least during election cycles.. have to pull out as an unattainable fantasy keeping the residents submissive and hopeful.
So Sergeant Hallocks short and simple statement is a truth which the Washington Swamp denizens are eager to exploit and absolutely eager to continue.
It is little wonder that foreign countries see us as a stupid nation with an enormous power to bully them into submission.
Does this elaborate explanation give Sergeant Hallocks comment a little more appropriate "fleshing out"?
Eager to hear your response.

PO3 John Wagner - Hmm, seems you jumped around quite a bit.
So within all of that, your answer to my question was they have more Rights by way of being able to commit felony crime without have to pay felony time? That makes sense.

SFC (Join to see) - AADD is a bitch. Your either get it all out at once... stream of consciousness style.. or you end up tossing out in manageable chunks yet one after another. It gets confusing for most. Can't help what I am.

Lawyers may disagree. Morally, they should get a fair deal. Legally, I don't think so. If we consider they have been breaking the law by being here, that should count for something. For how long, and for what reasons matter, but it still says that they are willing to violate the law and doesn't place them in a position of strength. Someone can quote case law but I'm just offering my opinion. If you want a fair deal then act responsibly and become legal. If you don't and when caught beg for immunity, go back to step one. Get legal and you'll have the protection.
Edit 9/16/17: Get legal and you won't have to sweat deportation. In the meanwhile you have the same Constitutional rights as a citizen, with minor exceptions such as voting.

I am glad you do not think the justice of our Constitution is so narrowly applied

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - As a citizen of good standing, I am newly convinced that the Justice of our constitution is seldom applied except when it suits the agenda of someone who plans to use it for their own gain... wether that be votes or increase of wealth.
I think it might be more helpful to the publics grasp of Washington to give the lawmakers and power brokers titles more suited to reality.
Barons, Lords, Dukes and Archdukes. When we have a candidate such as Hilary Clinton running for office, it was more than apparent to those whose mind runs towards calling things by their right names, that she looked forward to a coronation more than a presidency. This is not over the top thinking.
Trump is no king however.
If he were a king they would have need to put up a couple extra rows of wrought iron fencing around the whitehouse to mount the huge numbers of heads upon.
Heads which in a monarchy of the style Mrs. Clinton envisioned would be rightfully displayed as a reminder to the unwary or the unsubmissive who failed to take a knee in here presence.

This is the crux of the issue. The Left scream and demand they be given the same rights as all Americans. but they Are not Americans, or under our umbrella of protection as legal guests.
I do not see that they have ANY rights, not the right to remain silent, not the Miranda rights, not the right to council, or the right to even have a voice. I have no issue with them voicing their opinions... just do it from your home country. Why is it we are the only nation that is expected to not control immigration? Mexico will put you in prison and then deport you for entering it illegally, they have a wall on their southern border.... There is a wall around the Vatican, there is a wall around china, their are borders for a reason and legal ways to cross them.
All the above being said we still need immigration reform, and we need a path forward for the "dreamers" as they are called. People should not be punished for what their parents did.

CPO (Join to see) - Perfectly reasonable and largely inarguable by even the sheep who vote democrat out of habit
However, and unfortunately, easily dismissed by throwing up a barrage of ism's against anyone who has the audacity to support such a notion.
Just think of the shortage of cheap help no longer available to the liberal elites?
They would need to provide workers compensation and payroll taxes for such newly "discovered" citizens.
What a mighty hue and cry would be raised against the idea if every formerly invisible undocumented alien was given any legal recognition by the federal government!

CPO (Join to see) - As to what was done during WW2, bad but not intentionally inhumane. The mistakes of the past do not justify ignoring existing and properly written laws in the future.
There is no reason to believe that things will be handled today as they were over 70 years ago.
I for one would be right up front keeping very close tabs on how things were handled.
As would most decent citizens regardless of political stripe.

A "kinder gentler machine gun hand" gets our soldiers killed in long winded unhelpful foreign conflicts.
Kill me all let God sort em out tends to keep long term depredations to a minimum.
And that is exactly what I like about Mathis.
"I have come without my artillery, I plead with you not to interfere with me or get in my way. If you do your descendants will talk about what I did to you for ten thousand years."
(Or words to that effect.) Thank God for warriors such as him.
