SGT,
From what I understand, yes they can. When I was serving stateside at Yakima Training Center, Bothe my commander and 1SG had their own rooms in the barracks. I would advise asking your first line leader, and if he/she does not have an answer right away, I assure you they will by COB or at final formation

From my experience, at least in the unit I was in, if the Sargent was single- yes. Also if they have enough rooms in the barracks building

They will if they have space in your barracks. They generally try to not mix Joes with NCOs

Do NCOs who are serving stateside (specifically at Fort Carson) get their own room in the barracks?

Its all unit dependent but if they have available rooms you should have your own space but if they are lacking rooms the opposite will occur. As long as you're not with a spc or below no regs are being violated. Worse comes to worse you can always contact fsbp and find out the specific regs for Carson.

When I was at Carson 95-99, it was luck of the draw. And if you were a geographical bachelor for whatever reason, you were the first to get stuck with a roommate.

Depends on the unit you are in, the newer barracks that they built here, you would have your own room but you would share a bathroom and kitchen area with a roommate. the older barracks are set up the same way I believe just not as nice.

No you do not unless you live in the terrible infantry barracks with no heat.

They try to not mix NCO's and junior enlisted. With that being said it depends on barracks space and unit numbers residing in the alotted rooms per unit. Quick answer "it depends"

I know when I was at Fort Carson you would get your own room with a kitchenette. The barracks there are pretty nice compared to a lot of places. But you get the option for off post housing as well as you're an E5.

I'm going to Carson, but no. My sponso hasn't contacted me at all. I've emailed my 1SG and he said he'd try and get me in an NCO room. I'm just skeptical is all.

Most posts work the same way, it will be based on soldiers residing and vacancies. Good luck.
