Do Officers (currently serving) transitioning from National Guard to Regular Army have to take the OPAT?

I am currently a 70H in the NG and was board selected for another Active Duty AMEDD AOC. My AMEDD recruiter said I need to take the OPAT. It just seems redundant if I have a passing APFT? I'd prefer not having to take a vacation day and drive out and do the OPAT if I don't have to.

Hmm not sure. The OPAT though is supposed to more representative of the ACFT not the APFT so you might need to take it to complete the commissioning packet.
