Do reservists and NG Soldiers who transition to Regular Army get a full initial clothing issue?

I just got 3 Soldiers in my platoon who were in the reserves. I know that when I was stationed at Ft. Hood (7 years ago) all SMs who came to the AR/NG were issued a full initial clothing at clothing in sales. Here at Ft. Polk, clothing and Sales does not have a clue of what I'm asking. Did the reg changed or was this something that Ft. Hood did during those days?

As a supply sergeant for a national guard unit. I Normally do a one for one swap before they are discharged for the guard. You should take them to supply and have them do a 3078 to re-issue if they do not have any serviceable uniforms.

Just have him fill out a 3078 and have the commander sign it and take the soldier to clothing and sales. This is how I got my first set of uniforms when I came from the Marine Corps.

AR 700-84 chap. 12-6 is your guidance on this. The soldiers should have a DA form 4886 listing their current clothing issue/inventory. However, this form is often not properly maintained in the reserve component and may not be with their records.

I understand what the reg says (I researched it before making the post). However, I'm more interested in knowing the process or the steps to take to get these Soldiers what they need. Thanks for the reply tho.

Yes, You can Half you Supply NCO field out all the paper work and have your soldier DX (they were Reservist and no NG so they own there Uniforms) there Old Uniforms. Make your Supply NCO do his JOB.
