To be fair, it's not the smart phones themselves that are annoying but rather the way people use them. All the time. Everywhere. Loudly. Ignoring the people around them, especially you and I. I know. I know. I'm not talking about us. We don't abuse technology, do we? (Although, in all honesty) I'm not so sure about you.

That being said, having a smart phone has made life easier in some ways, particularly being able to bundle together multiple devices into one. Also, saved my ass when I was stationed in Korea with the Map and translator functions.

LTC Paul Labrador - you have a point, sir. I recently got a counseling chit from my CoC because I didn't have my phone on me and someone tried calling me while I was off duty.

My wife works at an upscale restaurant a couple of days a week and was asked why she came by the table 10 times and did not take their orders. She always says, when everyone is off there phone and ready, I will be too. One table complained and the owner suggested they enjoy there meal not their phone.

I patently refuse to join the "dark side"...my archaic little LG with, " the washer glued to the back so it will ride on the magnet on the dash" and I will continue to live in the '90's because that's how we roll.

Okay, you made me look. I looked in the dictionary under "iconoclast" to see if your photo was there
