Hello , I read the fine lines of my National Guard OTOT orders and I am under Tile 32 USC 502 (f) . From what I have read of the VA website, these do not count towards the Post 9/11 GI Bill unless they are in response to a national emergency.

This is what I found:
Your Benefits: Active Guard Reserve

National Guard and Reserve members with active service may qualify for a variety of VA benefits. Active service includes:
•Active duty (Title 10) - full-time duty, such as, but not limited to, a unit deployment during war, including travel to and from such duty, OR
•Full-time National Guard duty (Title 32) - full-time duty, such as responding to a national emergency or duties as an Active Guard Reserve, where you receive pay from the Federal government

Thank you Sir, my orders do indicate I am Title 32 AGR OTOT so I guess I will see what the VA says when I apply for benefits after my orders end.

I assume you have talked to your S-1 or Unit Administrator? What did they say?

Yes sir, they were not too familiar with the Post 9/11 GI Bill requirements and referred me to the VA website, which is were I discovered Title 32 is iffy on eligibility.

SPC (Join to see) - This is what is confusing: Title 32 and Title 10 can be used as a status for National Guard vs Active Duty. However, the funds that pay for OTOT employment are Title 10 funds. You might get a better answer by contacting the states National Guard Bureau.

Roger Sir, thank you. That is what confused me too, as I told I was federally paid, but my orders indicate I am Title 32. Hopefully my States NGB or education office might know what is up.
