Dr Carson doubled down today with his Muslim comments & that has the Liberal Media Talking Head's Hair on Fire. They are pushing for him to withdraw from the race for president..

They are definitely happy to have something to go on. Though now that he has had a chance to clarify his statement, I don't see how they think it will hurt him. It bothers me that they spin it as though he said that a Muslim should be banned from running for president, instead of that he personally wouldn't endorse a Muslim who supported Sharia Law as president. Quite frankly, I don't see what the fuss is about. Whether or not he is right in what he believes about Islam, he believes that they support subjugation of women, death penalties for homosexuals, people of other faiths, and those who leave the faith... I would like to ask any on the left, if there were someone running for President who advocated these things, would you vote for them? And if he is wrong about what Islam preaches, is this not an appropriate time to address the misrepresentation of Islam in America, which was done by the same media persecuting Dr. Carson for his concerns, instead of demanding he drop out of the race? Obviously, with his campaign donations exploding, and his level of support on social media now surpassing all of the other candidates, his perception is obviously a widely held concern among Americans.

Liberal media CNN and MSNBC go after the right. Fox goes after the left. THat's why I don't watch their news.

Well, here's the thing. What Carson said is true. Islam is incompatible with our Constitution. The word Islam literally translates to, "surrender to the will of Allah", and Sharia law is the will of Allah. So a devout Muslim will put Sharia law before our Constitution; this is why we see honor killings of females by Muslim men even here in the U.S.; and Islam's treatment of women is just one behavior that is Unconstitutional. Now, I don't know if all Muslims are that devout but I also don't know how to tell the difference. What I do know is that over the centuries since Islam was founded, Islam has been gradually and steadily taking over more countries by Muslims migrating to those countries peacefully and then producing offspring at a higher rate than the native population and eventually taking over that country and implementing Sharia law street by street, city by city, country by country. We see this happening today in Europe with Muslim populated "No go areas" in many European countries. The riots in France a few years ago were Muslim men in no go areas. This is why many of us are concerned about so many Muslim refugees coming into the U.S. For those of you who think that can't happen here in the U.S., what do you think would happen if Muslim's became the majority in this country and voted a majority of Muslims into local, state, and federal legislatures? Do you think laws passed by devout Muslims would adhere more to our Constitution or to Sharia law? I know what I think and it's based on historical fact.

As much as I like Ben Carson as a person and respect his former occupation - his comments on Muslims have pretty much done him in, in my opinion. America is a secular nation, founded on many principles - one being religious freedom. To say we ought to prohibit a certain religion from pursuing the White House is akin to segregation. I guess he forgot we already have elected Muslim officials that serve in the House of Representatives, and in Congress. Not once to my knowledge, have they invoked a bill/proposal that was based on sharia.
This is why America struggles to move forward - because someone is always pulling at the racial tension cords, or the religious tension cords...etc...People need to stop the hate and move forward, regardless of difference. We have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights that protects us from falling victim to becoming a nation led by religious zealots- whether it's Christians, Jewish, Muslims or any other faith...and that's one of several things that the founding fathers wanted to avoid.

Sgt Tom Cunnally - I understand how some American's feel and the resentment towards a particular religion...but it's very close to the era of segregation and how some white American's felt back then towards civil rights.
I do concur with you on your assessment of the current crop of candidates, GOP and Liberals alike - and I'd one up you with recommending GEN James Mattis for commander in chief. Unfortunately, America isn't ready for people with those particular strong leadership qualities.

So he made televised statements, and now we think it's vindictive that his televised statements are televised? Sounds right...

First of all the media is not liberal. I am a liberal. I love liberty. They are merely propagandists flying cover for the ideology of the left and those who practice it. Second, Dr. Carson didn't have to say anything about Muslims. It was very poor politics to say what he did and he'll be castigated for it. Will that hurt his campaign? I'm guessing not. The left already hates him. One more reason won't make that much difference. Conservatives are leery of some of his positions (such as the 2nd Amendment argument) but will likely love his comment about Muslims. The Independents could go one way or the other. Given the abysmal slate appearing thus far on the left, they most likely will stay home...

I for one welcome Dr. Carson's honest views, what else should a devout Christian Republican say? SMH.

He didn't say anything other than his personal opinion on who he would vote for. The First Amendment is still the law, right? We all have a right to vote for whomever we chose, regardless. He didn't say anything about violating law or otherwise just his personal beliefs.

I can understand the reaction. I haven't seen his most recent comments, but the original ones were quoted only partially and completely out of context. He still has a lot to learn, but what he's saying is also being skewed.

LCDR (Join to see) that is what the media does. Fox skews it to the right, NBC skews it to the left, and CNN is just all skewed up, not knowing which way to skew it. I wish that news was not under the same requirement to turn a profit as entertainment. We might actually get something that is less biased than what we get now.

"Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is calling on Republicans to repudiate Ben Carson's remarks that Muslims are not fit to be president.
“I call on every Republican to denounce Ben Carson’s disgusting remarks,” Reid tweeted on Monday. “That shameful intolerance and bigotry should have no place here."
What a hypocrite Reid said " Matt Romney should not be elected our President because he was not a good Mormon" .. Asked about this later & if he was sorry for those comments Reid said " He didn't win did he/"...
