I'm of this mind. I refuse to believe that in this day and age with all of the technology we as a planet possess that we are still struggling with diseases like AIDS or even cancer. However, I tend to defer to Chris Rock's assessment of why this isn't a reality "...the money's not in the cure. The money's in the medicine, off the comeback. That's how a drug dealer makes his money, off the comeback."

Developing a cure for the HIV is one things SGT (Join to see). However AIDS includes every disease that people with HIV die from. Many of them are curable unless your entire immune system has failed.

I know science hasn't figured everything out. Popular opinion isn't always truth.

If this were true, don't you think we'd have heard about it other than through Facebook or Rally Point?

SP5 Joel O'Brien,
Sir, I think certain truths lie beneath our noses uncovered simply because enough people don't care enough to at least entertain the possibility. For example, the world was flat and all slaves were black. I think many more things than the average person knows are covered up to secure a profit. I think it's worth entertaining. I think the possibility of saving lives are worth entertaining.
