It's unrealistic to think that a justice wouldn't have a political view.

It's how the President picks them, and why.

BTW, there is only one Chief Justice.

It is simply impossible to have that much responsibility and not have political views. The current system requires that those positions are well known, any other approach would have the justices keeping their opinions hidden from public view.

Everybody has their personal political views, and I could care less if they identify with a party.
What does matter, is if that party affiliation influences they way they rule.
A judge is supposed to rule on the LAW, not make law. A fact that seems to be lost on them!!!
