Given all the negative threads - anyone else like me who loves their job, loves the people they work with, and would rather do a 20 mi ruck barefoot vs commit suicide? The Army is awesome and I love it. I wake up daily actually loving my job - and that's after 20 years as a civilian before joining. This is what I was looking for, and I thank God or Buddha or whomever for giving me the opportunity to serve with so many great people.

What a fantastic thread! Does a tattoo of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle count?! I beg you all to take stock in what you still have. We have all had rough patches in life but trust me, looking back at your military time will be some of the best, most memorable times in your life. I pray you all make a smoother transition to civilian life than I did. Thanks MAJ (Join to see) for making me see my glass as "half full" today.

The service was my salvation, being a poor kid from WV. I was given purpose and the direction I needed to succeed in life. Nice post sir.

Having just dropped a troop off at the mental hospital today, I can say without a doubt, I love the Air Force and I love being alive!
