So turns out I got Eczema on my feet, it's caused by the boots I believe. I may be put up for a med board/separation in a month or two. Would I be eligible for the 9/11 bill if I get a med discharge?

The rule is if you served at least 36 months on a 36 month or greater contract you keep all the GI Bill. If you separate earlier you receive a prorated portion that equals one month of benefits for each month of service, as long as you are separated with an honorable discharge.

Check this out for possible answers: http://warriorcare.dodlive.mil/files/2018/05/DoD_Compensation-Benefits-Handbook_Apr-2018.pdf

Then, get up with your local (usually county) Veterans Services Officer. If you have trouble with that, check with me and I'll connect you: [login to see] . You can find me on the above website under "Caregiver Support," then "PEER Support Coordinators."

Medboars in a month, that will be the day. Don’t pack your bags just yet, that med board, might just take a little longer then a month
