I've been to this facility in Denver and it was a very positive experience. They have impressive technology and people who talk about mild / moderate TBI issues in a very knowledgeable way that is clearly informed by personal military experiences. Anyone who answers a "yes" or even a "maybe" to the question above should take a look at the MIBH site. Found this video on the site that shows some of what I saw when I was there: https://www.cuanschutztoday.org/mental-health-month-2019-marcus-institute-for-brain-health/

As a clinical psychologist w/ over 40 years of experience, once again I suggest that you proceed W/ caution. me thinks they exaggerate their outcomes.

Sirs:
Thank you for this opportunity and source of potential assistance.
I was struck by lightening (Times 2) while instructing soldiers in a field environment. I have some inability with the control and use of my left arm and some pain in the left leg.
I was holding a communication cable attached to an antenna about 30 feet in the air when the antenna was struck by a lightening bolt, The lightening traveled down the antenna cable, through me, and into the water in which I was standing at the base of the antenna. I had made the disconnection from the radio equipment and had the loose end in hand at time of the strike. I was thrown about ten feet from the antenna base and not knocked out or hurt other than being VERY HOT as if standing too close to a fire. Smoke was coming off my clothing and hair when the other individuals arrived at the antenna. I have some loss of feeling and grip ability in the left hand and some pain in the arm. I do not know what medical description has been made concerning this. I do receive some disability in the retirement check but do not know how much of the check is retirement pay and how much is disability.
I would appreciate any assistance that you might give to me or recommendation as to where to carry this further. I do not at present wish to go the congressional route.
Thank you for the info and assistance.

Look up, Defenders of Freedom. They are a small, but growing non-profit who has paid for many people to attend treatment when the VA wouldn’t.
Defenders of Freedom supports post 9/11 Veterans in their transition to civilian life with emergency financial assistance and alternative brain treatment for traumatic brain injuries. All modalities used are FDA approved and medication free.

Also they recently have been added to the CFC list of charity’s to donate to.

Is it rare for a mortarman who gunned all systems in heavy combat to have this?
