I now take Ambien to fall asleep and stay asleep, My VA therapist has understood my inability to shut down my brain and the anxiety that can come from sleep deprivation. I'm thankful for that. It seems that the older I get the worse, the syndrome. There is no particular thoughts that haunt me, it's almost always different. Sometimes it's combat related, sometimes it's just stress related from things I'm going through at the current time. It's extremely frustrating, and debilitating, at times. Especially since I can only take the medication for 20 out of 30 days. If it's two or 3, or 4 o'clock in the morning, and I have to be up early the next day, it causes anxiety, which feeds on itself. But I consider myself one of the lucky ones. I do have some help.

This... I need to do. I sleep from 2130 to 0500 when I do. However, I sweat excessively. When I don't exercise, I cant sleep until after 0100 but, no excessive sweating.
