All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

17 years, 2 1/2 months old, the 2nd day at the Reception Station @ Ft Knox, Mar 1971. The 2nd pic is the infamous Plt Group pic. I was the itty bitty feller front row, far right. Oh yea, I was Barney Badass all right lol

Great Lakes NTC, November, 1966. Brand new Seaman Apprentice stripes. BTW - This is the next-to-the-last picture taken of me without a mustache. I shaved it all off once after trying to shave after a VERY long weekend. It looked like hell with half one side missing. My wife took the picture and, for a while, flashed it every time I went out "for a beer" with the guys.

PO1 Mike Dean - I hope VA has better choices these days. I have an appointment on Wednesday and need new ones. First pair from Uncle Sam since boot camp. I might have to fight for what I need since they are progressive lenses.
