ALL New Connections - Back by Popular Demand! I'm still receiving some great photos from all you RP Members. THANKS!
Keep them coming!
All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

I initially served in the Navy though your profile template does not allow for more than one service. 10 years Navy, 14 Air National Guard.

I'm not sure why the first photo posting did not upload. Here is my second attempt:
The photo was taken around October 1960 while stationed at the US Army Garrison at Fort Leavenworth. Although I was constantly on call for KP and Honor Guard assignments I consider this two-year assignment as among the best experienced. I was a PFC E3 then.

Found out our history goes way back. Dad and Mom were WWII, family on Union side of Civil War and Johan Heim (original family name) was a member of a Pennsylvanian unit in the Continental Army. How cool?
