ALL New Connections - Back by Popular Demand! I'm still receiving some great photos from all you RP Members. THANKS!
Keep them coming!
All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

Probably as far back I can go when I was getting promoted to PFC in 1994. I was stationed at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA.

May 15, 2015. I will never forget that day.
My commissioning at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI.
MSG Bob Hammond, father of my friend Jen, who I was involved in marching band with at the university, gave my first salute. He'd been an advisor through my cadet years, and I could think of no one more fitting than him. He's still a very good influence, and still talk every now and again.

The polaroid was taken in basic training and was my first "in uniform" picture, the other is one of the first dress greens pictures taken. Both from 1986-87.

Col.Mikel, remember back in the days of the Reagon Administration where they thought they would down size the military, they would let the Army Reserve teach BT. There was a few classes around the country, I was one they was filming, they started in the evening around 6 PM; we said it was hard to see, they said we didn’t know what we was talking about. Well a few got look hurt, because WWII Barracks was being torn down but didn’t tell the team. But it turn out well, and long career.
