The Army COL's list just came out. If you know anyone from RP who is on it, call them out and congratulate them. This is a huge cut. 47% selection rate. If you know someone who made the cut, take the time to congratulate them. They have made it past a significant hurdle in their career!

Sir, I know LTC Matthew Moore and LTC Eric Sloughfy. LTC Moore was my last SCO in my unit at Riley shortly before I left for Fort Lee where LTC Sloughfy was the BN CDR for one of the training BNs.

He and I were MAJs together from 2005-09 with 4/10 IBCT at Polk, but he left there in '09. I know his wife was also promoted and selected to command a BN, and the more I think about it, Ft. Lee sounds right for him to command in 2011.
Thanks for reminding me!

1SG Cameron M. Wesson, cool. Always good to know some good officers. A good friend of mine, who's also a mentor, just made the LTC list.
You're a little drive from KC, which is where I'm from. When you have the opportunity and if you like BBQ, check out Fiorella's Jackstack BBQ on the SW side of 95th and Metcalf in Overland Park, KS. Awesome food. In addition, if you like history, check out the WW1 memorial in KC. Gotta go really early in order to enjoy the entire place which is huge. Been there twice and it's worth it.
