Do you know how to stay calm in a road rage incident?

SSgt Alex Robinson After driving in Germany for about 20 years, the "highways" of Alaska are quite a challenge to drive on without sometimes getting angry with other drivers. I had a very real problem with excessive anger, which often manifested itself in the form of road rage, when other drivers failed to drive "the right way". I placed a sticky note in my car which read, "Is it worth it?", just above my radio. When I felt the rage coming on I would look down at the note, take a deep breath, and try to calm myself. It seems to help, my own dangerous driving is way down now, and I try not to let others get on my nerves when I'm driving.

Usually when the feeling arises, thinking about jail usually squashes it right quick... If you haven't been, jail is really no bueno... Not to mention worse things... ;)

Interesting article. Lots of thought involved but I'm just trying to get to B without worrying about them ;)
