Do you need permission to get married in the military?

Do you need to get permission from an officer or someone in the military to get married. Especially if you are in the National Guard. I’m unsure.

While part of me wants to say if the Military wanted you to have a spouse they would issue you one, I'm not sure you will get the humor in that statement yet.

NO you do not have to ask permission to get married. HOWEVER you do have to provide your S1 with a copy of your marriage certificate so that your spouse can be added to deers.
