Do you think legalizing marijuana will benefit or hurt the military?

Just because it may become legal does not mean everyone can use it. As a CDL holder I am subject to periodic UA's. If a substance were found in my system that detracted from my ability to safely operate a vehicle my license would be suspended or revoked. Many jobs will require that you cannot use controlled substances. I believe the military will still make the use of marijuana illegal for the service member or its civilian employees.

I think that the feds should make it a Schedule 3 or 4 and let the states work it out. I think that for now the military should still prohibit marijuana without military medical care. I think that we need to let the states to learn how to best handle weed first then we can see about allowing it for use by soldiers.
