My wife went to school with then Barry Obama...Lori is local Japanese American and she was born raised in haleiwa for those familiar with Oahu...her local culture style is not to talk smack about people but lori told me Obama's reputation was "not a bright person" and not the extremely intelligent person he was touted about by the Democrats...in 2004.. I was helping lori with her 25 annual punahou class reunion...I was told by lori's classmates then senator barrack Obama had not responded about attending the class reunion...punahou is a very tight group of people and a lot of the people who attend punahou go to college and have successful professional careers which they attribute to punahou's preparation for college...people come from all over the country to attend the class reunions which are actually fundraisers for the school..even if they cannot attend they send a contribution for the cause...a local Hawaii legislature classmate who couldn't attend donated 100K ...I an a retired chief and we have 500 dollars...by chance I saw the list of donations and everyone had made a donation except one name...barrack obama...to be fair the classmate who made the 100K donation became angry when he did not get the support from punahou when he ran for reelection but that is how democrats are
