It’s really difficult today to believe anything that comes out of Washington !

Due to the circumstances at the time, which some of the facts are classified the president was wishing his right to order the surveillance understand the guisante of homeland security policías established after 911. Up until a candidate is sworn into office, the individual is a private citizen and subject to all kinds for background and warrant authorized activities. Could? Sure. Now if performed then one has to work with all ramifications. Of note are the number of background reports of Trump and his history of Russian relationships.
