in my opinion all politicians are dirty, no matter how nice they appear . machiavellism was defined a few centuries ago, politics are as old as tribalism . presidential candidates do not pop out of nowhere . they must use machinations for decades to finally present themselves in the circus called electoral campaign . so they must use the same means to get their ways . i rest my case .
