The aim of my post was about a new website as mass media communication tool. For the fleet and for the public !
PS. I don't know nothing about Great Lakes ;-) Is it a fruit and vegetables farm or something like that?

It would be nice to have a basic and smooth 3D model of every ship type with text and content explaining the history of each and such, would make naval history a little more interesting, same for the mobile application idea. Don't care about full screen pictures unless you have some awe inspiring ones, same goes for 4k movies. A more bare bones and more user friendly infrastructure for at sea or any location with limited access is would also be very nice. Pages and software that could load in split seconds with a 15Kbps connection is whats really needed.
