I just found mine with my Zippo. I'm not looking at them but I think my social security number on it. My dad kept his on his key chain though.

I haven't worn them in years, however, my first couple years out of the military, I wore them religiously.

I haven't worn my dog tags since I got out. I still have them, and I used to keep one on my key chain, but I haven't even done that in a while.

When I was in I wore mine daily. Now that I'm out they hang above my daughter's bed.

I wear mine everyday. I feel like at any time I am subject to an inspection. It is a required component of uniform. I think there are rules and policies for a reason. I mean AR670-1 was publicated for this specific reason. If I always have all my required clothing, gear, etc.. I'll always be squared away and not have to worry at last moment. I feel like the younger soldiers have a problem with military procedures and etiguette as it is. So do the right thing, wear the proper uniform and you will be succesful. I mean it may seem trivial .. You say oh just dog tags... Like everything else starts out small and turns into taking shortcuts in in every aspect.

I don't wear them during pt because (chain + chest hair = pain). I wear them the rest of the time though.

haha dog tags... I had such a bad habit of breaking those chains in my sleep.... In the Army, I wore them everyday, except during combatives. Now that I am out of the Army, I do not wear them. I always thought people who wore them after getting out were attention seekers.
