Going back to civilian life is more of us adapting to life than life adapting to us.

I took the time to go to school, do recruiting duty, volunteer in the community, and when  time allowed it, work part time outside the military. Those things kept me grounded.

So many of us, specially officers and NCOs, have a hard time adapting, mostly because of a lack of flexibility. Got it, we are touted as flexible because we go from a skill set to pull PMCS, to do combat life saving, to war zones...

But the civilian life can be tougher if you are not mentally flexible.

To answer your question, yes, I felt ready to integrate to civilian life.
