Do you think there is a problem with the way we weight variables & should we consider alternatives such as AHP and MCDA when making decisions? For example, say your trying to make a decision on base location; or another strategic objective- MDMP doesn't give you a very good framework for anything other than a tactical mission set- do you think more tools with these analytical methods with pairwise comparisons and sensitivity analysis would get us out of this game or pure advocacy and into the realm of well substantiated robust decision making?

MDMP is planning by committee which allows for different points of view to give the commander enough information to make a decision or course of actin. The issue is the commander may come up with a decision or course of action the staff didn't plan for or, the staff will manipulate the information to their desired course of action. The military may need to research if there is a better way. Since MDMP has flaws.
