Does a re-enlistment waiver for misconduct in a prior enlistment effectively erase that as a disqualifier for special training/assignments?

I have received differing and conflicting answers on this question. I have a civilian career I aim to progress and a military career I am trying to rebuild for almost 2 years now. Answering this question will allow me to narrow my field of view on the direction I want to take them.

You should not confuse general, base level Army requirements and qialifiers with those that may be determined by the command or training requirements of the special assignments.
The only way to know for sure is to contact someone involved in the decision making around the special training / assignment

What kind of special training/assignments are you talking about? I feel as though it would depend on what the misconduct was.
