On the profile it states soldier has 14 days to self pace, does the soldier receive the normal 60 days recovery or just the 14 before taking a record apft

My question, were I the Commander, to this is why the rush for the PT test for record? Are you trying to ensure re-injury or the soldier's failing?

For every day on a profile, you get 2 days recovery but not to exceed 60 days.

SPC Hill,

The Soldier will receive 60 days of recovery after the profile has expired. The SM can take a record APFT during recovery if the Soldier and the command agree that he/she is ready to take the test. However being realistic about it, the Soldier will more than likely be placed on another profile for orthopedic/physical therapy and so forth to get back to normal after the surgery. The profile after the surgery is just to prevent initial re injury of the corrected ailment and by no means guarantees a Soldier will be FMC.
