Wait till you take Small Pox, and Anthrax.

CV19 is the least of your worries.

MAJ Ron Peery - I personally know two former Marine Corps snipers, one in Natrona, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh) and one where I live now (in Ontonagon on Lake Superior, western UP of Michigan) who served in Afghanistan, and both became sterile from the anthrax vaccine. One had fathered kids before, and could not have any afterward, which bothered him and his wife intensely (a very pretty and sweet gal, btw, and a natural blonde.) He told me he was threatened with a court-martial if he did not take the anthrax vaccine, and had to sign a paper saying he understood he could get "temporarily" sterile, but 15 years later, it was NOT temporary.

Sgt John de Nugent - I never heard about that before. But I'm a bit past wanting to start a new family. When were your friends over there?

Can't speak to anthrax, but I received smallpox twice, first as a little kid (kindergarten in 72) and again in basic training reception in 85. Other than a pustule, zero uncomfortable side effects.

Does it really matter? Considering all the other vaccinations you will receive when coming in, does it really matter?

FLW, MO 1993. I remember those lines!! The 1.2 million units of deep IM Bicillin was like a superball in your glutes! The air guns to the deltoids weren't that bad.... as long as you stood still!

Did that in late 1968 or early 1969. I didn't realize they'd been around that long. Ii remember they said don't move/flinch or it will "split your skin open!!!"

SFC Casey O'Mally - My buddy flinched and received a small surface cut across his chest.Just enough trickle of blood to send troops scurrying.

What is the penalty for refusing to take a rushed experimental vaccine for an illness with a 99% survival rate?

Back in the 90s Anthrax vaccinations were done off label. Soldiers that refused were subject to UCMJ Action. Some were chaptered out of service as a result of refusing. So.. look to history and you will find your answer.

I remember there being reports of Soldiers forcibly given the injections for Anthrax. I believe there were even Army Times Articles about this issue.

Back in the mid 80s when we had service members miss the annual flu shot the first time they were supposed to get it I typed up counseling papers for the 1SG to give them. If they missed their second appointment then I typed up Article 15 paperwork.
