When my sons were young they would bring home colds which they caught from other children. In those days my immune system was stronger and I would catch a cold and be over it fairly soon. Now that my sons are 25 and older and my immune system isn't as strong when I get a cold it lasts longer and wears me out.
I am thankful when I only have a cold and I do my best not to share it.

I am surrounded by sick people everyday. Navy Medical Provider. But my immune system is fined tuned like a formula one race car. Clean diet, nothing less than a gallon of water a day, I work out 6-7 days a week, and I supplement with the worlds finest nutrition company to fill those nutritional gaps. The worst I deal with is seasonal allergies down here in the south east. If you support your body by feeding it the best and training it hard you will very rarely have to deal with "common cold" or "flu" or any other "URI".

LTC Stephen F., the common cold sucks. My youngest boy is in kindergarten and when he starts getting the sniffles I give him a small dose of a very dense nutrition drink I've been drinking for breakfast every single day for the last 4.5 years. When I started including this stuff in my meal plan, I was working as the NCOIC of the Family Medicine Clinic at Tripler Army Medical Center. While the staff would get sick every year, I did not. Which was annoying because they would have to take time off to recover and not infect other staff and patients.
I was so impressed with this stuff I posted a video about it when my little guy was two. It's actually kind a cute.

LTC Stephen F. - I'm now 47 and still work in the same hospital. That same stuff also helps with my old airborne knees and other joints.
