Does anybody have any guidance on re-enlisting to get Fort Rucker as an 11B?

This is an option that popped up at retention and I'm just curious about it. What exactly would I do there as an infantryman; details, training, bus driver, bs? If anyone has some info, it'd help me out.

CPL Welch, I think the Chief might be on to something here, and passes the common sense test...the SERE cadre has a pretty diversified staff? Good call Chief!

You have to have gone through SERE in order to work at SERE though, so if that's not your bag of tea, they won't let you work there.

CPL Welch, since this is a re-enlistment option, go back to the Career Counselor, have him pull the option he/she is discussion with you and provide the details, they should be able to pull exactly what, where, when and how they intend to use an 11B1 at Fort Rucker, they should be able to identify the command and maybe even the specific unit that is requesting an 11B, if that does't work reach out to HRC (Infantry Branch) E1-E4 assignments and asked what type of assignments are located at Fort Rucker? They will have the best information since all requisition are either generated or develop by branch. Does this help? Mr. Diaz handles the E1-E4 assignment, his phone number is [login to see] or email at [login to see] he should be able to help.

If they still have the Pathfinder Detachment, that could very well be what it is for.
If it popped up as a reenlistment option, it may or should have a full MOS qualifier or applicable ASIs. Check and see if it is F7 ASI coded.
