I couldn't find anything about the "Schützenschnur" specifically for your area. But at Ft. Benning they held a GAFPB test this year. That may be a good place to start as far as finding what you want.

Soldiers test for German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge
More than 120 Soldiers from across Fort Benning completed requirements for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge Jan. 8 and received their badges during a ceremony that took place at Sand Hill.

Thanks for the info, but Yes I already contacted them but they only do the GAFPB which includes swimming and road march and the weapons qual portion. I just want the Weapons Qual part.

Contact your post (or nearest) German Liason Office and ask. They usually do one a year at most bases. You don't have to be in Germany. It just requires a signature of the Liason Officer.

This is ran 100% by the German Army, so I would highly suspect that you need to get yourself to Germany to accomplish this. Ran this course of fire in Kuwait, the MG was in the sand so deep you could not elevate on target at all. Only the first three who tired made the score. My butt was near the end of the line but what the heck I got to launch a bunch of rounds. Ammo bearer up! Semper Fi.

They do it here in the states in Ft. Bliss, TX and in Ft. McCoy, WI but I am trying to find something closer to home. I wish I had somehing like that when I was in Iraq but we didn't had any German units only Australians in shorts...

Do you know when they hold it at Ft. McCoy? My unit is up there all the time, and I'd love to participate in this event with some of my soldiers!

I would go online and research that...do You want to do this as an active duty Soldier or as a competitor?

Make a request to be stationed in Germany with FA or MP, fairly certain they do that competition.
