Does anybody work directly with GIS or GIS personnel?

I am NOT advertising here, I am looking for information. My college has a GIS program (AAS) and we are trying to develop a program that would help military personnel that work in the GIS field to get their military experience and add college credit to earn their associates degree in the field.

I am trying to get information from AIT, Tech School, A School instructors, or active members working in this field.
I work in the Military Programs Office at my school and we are always trying to find a way to offer more to our veteran students.

I am not soliciting anything, I am looking for more information to build this program.
