Does anyone else use Republic Wireless as their cell phone carrier?

Y'all have probably figured out by now that I'm a financial junkie and I like to share financial money saving tips. This thread will sound very sales pitchy, so I apologize, but.... it is what it is. You'll save money in the long run if you're open minded about it ;)
There have been several cell phone costs threads, but nothing about RW. https://republicwireless.com They are a relatively new company that is growing exponentially FAST. If you are paying more than $40 a month per person for your cell phone plan, (yes, even for an iphone) you are paying way too much money for your phone.
Republic Wireless uses Wifi as their primary technology and uses cell service as backup. They have 4 monthly plans:
If you have the $5 plan – wifi only. Talk, text and data are available, but you have to be somewhere connected to free wifi, or you have to have the password to login to a secured wifi network to use it. (Why is this awesome? Think about basements and other locations where cell service sucks. Got wifi in your home? NO PROBLEM!)
For $10, you get talk and text over cell, but only get data via wifi.
For $25 you get talk and text over cell, and wifi and 3G data.
For $40 you get talk and text over cell, and wifi and 4G data.
It uses the Sprint network primarily, and if the Sprint network is out of range, it doubles over to Verizon.
**For all plans, Wifi is the default technology, but if you have the $10 or more plan, then if Wifi is not available, you would double over to cell service for text and phone calls.

Important to note: Because of the dual technology, they only have 2 phones available, and yes, you have to buy the phone outright from them. You can't bring a phone from another carrier. So yeah, that's a disadvantage *right now* but if you look at the amount of money you'll save over the course of even 1 year if you're on an expensive monthly plan right now.... it becomes a no brainer.
So back to my original question - anybody else on here already a user? What's your experience been like?

I have had this phone for 2 weeks now and I have no complaints whatsoever.
I found another review which really puts the "hows" and "whys" into perspective, however, be warned, it's laced with some colorful language :( I just wish Reviews like this weren't littered with curse words to get their point across.
I LOVE it. The phone is really easy to use. Wifi technology is amazing. Anywhere I go, I check to see if there is a wifi signal. If so, I connect, so that the next time I'm there, it will automatically pick it up. I haven't had a dropped call yet, even while driving down the road using cell service. I love the sleep feature where it basically puts the phone on silent at night without me actually putting it on silent and forgetting to turn it back up in the morning. I was able to "schedule" church time for every sunday morning for the same reason. So yeah, regular smart phone features that I'm sure many of you are accustomed to, but bear with me - I havent had a smart phone in over 4 years and the last one I had was a dang blackberry (dinosaur ages!) I'm amazed at what smart phones can actually do now. Text by voice ....awesome.
Anyway. Wifi = frugal = awesome. You should do it too.

I see a lot of different companies but few are actually national when they start-up. Are they only in local areas or are they using other companies' equipment?

For wifi - you use whatever wifi is available. Your own wifi at home, or wifi networks available in public areas such as guest wifi's at stores/restaurants, etc.
