With OIF, OND, and combat operations "over" in Afghanistan does anyone worldwide get deployment patches anymore? I know they took them away from Kuwait, but how about Afghanistan and Iraq?

They have not taken away the CSIB from Kuwait at all. There are still units both in Kuwait and Qatar who are eligible for the CSIB. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and we definitely awarded the SSIFWS.

I am sure that those theaters are still considered hazardous duty and they get their patches, especially since Afghanistan has been in the news lately.

CPT Maurelli, Sir; I don't know, been over 40 years.. but I sure wish that they did, and I wish that they would make the patches readily available to the Veterans who are looking for ones from 40 years ago.. Thanks

You try off a main post at one of those tailor places? Here Airborne One I think has a lot but might be able to make one if given the design.

No such thing as a patch for being deployed. Being deployed means being assigned outside the United States. You mean a CSID (“combat” patch) troops sent to places like Germany are deployed.

Nobody ever got deployment patches. A soldier that is assigned a duty station outside the United States is deployed. Sometimes they are deployed to a area that has been deemed as a hostile fire zone and you can get shot at. If you go to one of those lots of things happen, you get income tax breaks, chances to get Valor awards etc. But being deployed just means assigned outside CONUS.
