Does anyone have a MFR IAW AR670-1 stating that your tattoos are "Grandfathered"?

I should have been more precise with the question. I am a little confused to the requirements for a recruiter packet. I wasn't sure when the packet required the aforementioned MFR, if that meant I had to write one or if that meant the one that should be in my OMPF/iPerms.

Wait 6 months and Trump will have the tattoo order resended.

DA PAM 670-1 says..
"3–3. Tattoo, branding, and body mutilation policy
a. Tattoos and branding. Commanders will perform an annual check for new tattoos or brands in prohibited locations. If any new tattoos are found not in compliance with current standards, the Soldier must be processed in accordance with AR 670–1, paragraph 3–3."
There seems to be no guidance in the AR or DA Pam on documenting what exist, so that there will be no erroneous claims of a pre existing tattoo being "new"

AR 670-1 states "e. Commanders will perform an annual check for new tattoos or brands above the neckline, wrists, and hands. If any unauthorized tattoos are found, the Soldier must be processed in accordance with paragraph 3–3f. Tattoos on the face or head (to include on/inside the eyelids, mouth, and ears) were never authorized locations for tattoos. Soldiers with tattoos on the head or face must be processed in accordance with paragraph 3–3f, below, unless the Soldier received a written waiver upon entry into the Army. Commanders will also conduct a simultaneous check for extremist, indecent,
sexist, and racist tattoos. If such tattoos exist, the Soldier must be processed in accordance with paragraph 3–3f"

Again no mention of documenting an old tattoo so it is not perceived as "NEW" down the road.

I found a cite in the 2015 AR 670-1 about body modifications being grandfathered in, and mention of an MFR for NEW SM coming in... But not seeing anything about existing solders being granted an exception...and said exception being a legitimized via MFR.

Or was this in a DA PAM? or ALARACT message? DA Memo?

Is that MFR done at the DA level? It may only be done at the unit level.
