Lt Col (Join to see) - The PHS, NIH, and many other state and federal agencies offer loan forgiveness - often staged as a percentage each year over several years. Some major law firms and other major partnerships offer similar benefits for new recruits. It may be possible to negotiate a lump sum or staged payoff in your private compensation package even if such benefit does not exist. Warmest Regards, Sandy

I'd looked at such programs before I was approved for VA total perm disability, though in clinical topics related to my training, my wife and I had me shut my allied health license sevl yrs ago. Candidly, such programs are, I'd found, quite stiff to submit for, though it'd obv help to know your field, degree level, etc., and which specific loan forgiveness programs you want to submit for. I'd looked, e.g., at one the NIH had at one point, and found having any halfway realistic chance pretty well near nigh impossible. I'm not saying your circumstances are the same, certainly, however, I'm only saying what I'd gone through in trying, if only to give you a halfway realistic idea of the difficulties involved, honest. I hope that was of at least some use, I'd be most eager to hear more whenever convenient, if I can suggest anything else, I'd be glad to try to do so, many thanks.
