I've had a NEX/PX Levis black trifold wallet for several years now and I am deeply saddened to say that she's in her last few days of life.. I am looking for something durable and higher quality, perhaps genuine leather, that will last me years, decades, perhaps a lifetime. Black and Trifold are definitely preferred. Thanks!

Use to use leather all the time but I have recently switched to the T.H.E. Wallet J.R.
Been really happy with the quality of the wallet and I don't see me going back to leather.
They also have a larger one.

One thing I like about them is no velcro. The closure is a patent called a shark bite. The JR is average size but the original is pretty big. I have both versions and prefer the smaller one.

I love this thing. 3 years still going good. I just wish they made a vibrant colored one. As someone who spends a lot of time in the woods, last thing I want is for my wallet to blend in better if dropped.

I highly recommend checking out https://vonbaer.com/products/washington-leather-trifold-wallet. I've been using it for 3 years, and it's proven to be incredibly durable. Despite using it daily, I haven't noticed any signs of wear and tear. What I particularly like about this wallet is its craftsmanship. The attention to detail is evident and gives a sense of quality that's hard to find elsewhere.

Might want to check out Cabelas. Don't know who makes their line but I like the leather that is thicker than regular but not full carriage leather. So it hits my sweet spot on flexibility, durability, and not bulky. BTW good leather wallets eventually wear out. When I found the Cabelas' one I loved, I bought 5 of them. On #3 now.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a durable genuine leather wallet?

I too recently replaced my wallet. I had that wallet for over 13 years. It was a Harley Davidson wallet, and the only reason I had to replace it was because the hole that I clipped my wallet chain to ripped. The wallet itself was still serviceable.

So I recommend a Harley Davidson wallet. And if you don't ride a motorcycle/don't use a wallet chain, you don't even need one that can take a wallet chain (or you can just not wear a wallet chain).

Also, you can get an H-D wallet in tri-fold and leather.

In fact, the H-D wallet I had to replace I bought at the H-D merchandise store at the Ala Moana Shopping Center way back in 2003 when my ship pulled in on WESTPAC.

I was also stationed at NCTAMS PAC from 2007-2010, N31 Fleet Center.

I don't recommend leather, if you are doing anything that will make you sweat, or be even damp. The leather will dry out, crack, and eventually fall apart. However, Big Skinny makes a nylon wallet that is flexible, comfortable and relatively cheap. One of my buddies has had his for several years and he loves it. and it is still in excellent shape.

http://www.specopsbrand.com/t-h-e-wallet-j-r.html. Its not leather and definitely has a "boot" look to it but I've carried one of these for the last 3 years. No sign of it letting up.
