The exact question is, What is the Navy's retention, re-class or Med Sep a/o Retire threshold requirement. As with the Army we have Soldier that have auto-immune disease, but have been retained and re-classed with the only requirement being they could not deploy outside CONUS. I know this, because I cut the PCS orders.

SSG Keith Cashion - The Navy for the most part doesn't have as detailed a regulation concerning referrals to an MEB. SECNAV INSTRUCTION 1850.4E outlines conditions that are normally cause for referral and systemic lupus is included in this. This just results in a referral though, the question of whether the condition is unfitting is very specific based upon the individuals own symptoms and overall performance impact.
