I accepted a direct commission in January 2018. The appointment memo said I would receive a DD Form 1A (Officer Commission) in the mail but as of today it hasn't come.

So here is the actual answer.
How can I obtain a DD Form 1A?
A: AR 601-100, paragraph 2-13.g.(4) states that, “On receipt of DA Form 71, the relevant Army command, ASCC, or DRU commander will issue DD Form 1 (Officer’s Commissioning Certificate) to the officer.
If an Officer did not receive their commissioning certificate, they can contact the Reserve Appointments Branch, Human Resources Command - Ft. Knox at [login to see] for assistance.

This work for reserves. However, for NG I have been told they cannot help me. Does anyone have the POC for the NGB Officer Appointments Branch to request a DD Form 1A?

CPT (Join to see) - Are you active? I just called the [login to see] number and some lady told me that they only handled active duty personnel. Unless something changed on their end...I'm in the reserves...

Your BN or BDE S-1 could replicate one for you, I’d speak with them and provide them a copy of your DA71 to validate the date, time, branch and rank.

LTC James McElreath - asking the S1 professionally to do their job is not being a shit stirrer. I had great S1s along the way and hardly ever had to chase stuff like this. My promotion to Major was during Graduate school and I was a man without a country. My next unit's S1 found out I didn't have the promotion certificate and she insisted I get one. She made sure of it.

LTC Jason M,
I agree with you entirely, but someone told him to go to the Jag and outside of ones battalion is just asking for trouble. You will get to know the personnel in your unit and will get a good understanding how things work. For instance. One has easy access anyway with fellow officers and will feel your way through problems should they arise.
