Does anyone know of any recent cases in the services of an Ex-Senior NCO being reactivated to Active Duty as a Warrant/Field/General Officer?

I am looking for data from the year 2000 thru present-day. No need for names but that would be helpful. I would also be glad to get examples of EM/NCO reactivation to Junior Warrant and Company Grade Officers.
Many soldiers leave service and get Associate, Technical, Bachelor, Master, and PhDs Degrees.
Likewise many individuals start businesses and supervise many employees, locations and interstate services without getting degrees but gain managerial t experience.
Then again some get employment at positions in companies or government or organizations where they like be all they can be - at higher levels of competence.
I need relevant and related information. Thanks in Advance.

Warrant Officer candidates need to put in a package, be accepted, and attend WOCS. There's no "magic shortcut" to being a Warrant Officer.

SFC Michael Hasbun - Thanks for the link. I retired in'93 and am certainly not interested but I know several of my workers that also ETSed and retired that are checking it out.

SFC Ralph E Kelley the warrant officer selection and candidate school process has not always been that way. There has always been a selection process but prior to the early 80s Technical Warrant Officers did not attend candidate school. They were selected and upon their promotion date went from an NCO grade to WO1. I believe there may been a policy for E7s to promote direct to CW2. Since that time all Warrant Officer candidates have had to attend candidate school at Ft Rucker.

I was a beneficiary of the Direct Appointment system in 1973. I went directly from E7 to WO1. The Army had eliminated the E7-CW2 direct system shortly before I was appointed because of a relatively high failure rate of such individuals due to unrealistic expectations of a CW2. MOST direct appointees in that period went to a 2-week gentlemen's "Knife and Fork" course at Fort Sill as an introduction and transition from Enlisted to Officer. This, as in my case, was waiverable. I was put on emergency orders to Sinop, Turkey. Ultimately I PCS'ed 2 times in a 10 day period from E7 in Germany, to Arlington Hall, VA for appointment, and then to Sinop all over the Thanksgiving holiday period. In those days, the first 2 years of a Warrant's career was "Trial by fire."

Not necessarily "Reactivated" unless you're talking Soldiers who went into the Inactive Ready Reserve (IRR) and were recalled due to a shortage in a high-demand MOS for a mobilization... and even then they are recalled at their rank upon exit from active status (or their rank in the IRR... promotions can happen in the IRR).
Now if you're talking a direct-commission type of position (Officers, not Warrant Officers), that happens all the time. AMEDD, SJA, and Chaplains are often brought in as direct commission, but will still have to attend requisite training to be qualified in their specialty, less the typical OCS or ROTC source of commissioning.

Not at all a likely scenario. I have never heard of anything like this, especially if hey had retired. They would have to have some sort of mechanism for direct commission, again not likely. Well at least I know of nothing remotely close to this.
