My son wanted a 4yr. contract, trusting the recruiter he signed the contract. The recruiter put down 4yrs. and 5 months saying boot camp don't count. and training also, Whats going here? Is this a new way too get more time out of the men joining ? Went in 2017 /9 /13 discharge date 2022/2/17, I think the recuiter pulled a fast one?

It does count towards the enlistment time. The recruiter pulled a fast one.

LCpl Sandy Moran Marine Corps Boot Camp does count as part of a four year enlistment. I would like to see the paperwork because this is strange.

Does boot camp count as a part of your four-year enlistment?

Boot Camp counts as part of your time in service. Not sure what voodoo the recruiter was trying to work on that one.

I agree don't understand the reasoning why he'd add the extra time, but he did.

LCpl Sandy Moran - He would need to refer to his original contract and see what was put on there. There may be some details he forgot about considering the question has emerged coming up on three year after the fact. But it's all part of the 8 year commitment anyway so they get ya one way or another.
