Does broadening assignment time count if you get demoted and then regain your rank?

Was demoted for Ssg to Sgt and regained my rank. I was drill sgt complete and almost CD complete. I know CD time resets. Would I need another broadening assignment??

Yes it is still a broadening assignment.

Just because you were demoted does not change you completing the assignment. It will still reflect time served on your record.
