For the past 200 years + this country has been slowly out of control, our current federal government has begun slowly stripping its citizens of their rights as they are guaranteed in the Constitution. My questions are these; does our current government take too much away from the citizens it supposedly serves? Are they intentionally trying to do away with the Bill of Rights? and finally Would reverting to the Articles of Confederation under which this country began be better for the citizens of America. To elaborate for those who are unfamiliar with the Articles of Confederation, this form of government proposed a weak central government with the states having the power to govern themselves with little interference from the federal government. With this being said I expect to get slammed for it. So lets hear it folks.

No no no. You really need to stop lapping up right wing propaganda. This country is in every way better than 200 years ago. The Articles weren't government. It was a treaty between 13 different counties. States' rights is a great principle but in many cases, like this, i lt just means someone didn't get their way.

I am not lapping up the right wing propaganda. My opinions are my own, formed in my own head by my own little brain. Just because I believe differently than you doesn't mean that I am wrong. I am entitled to my opinion just as you are yours. Sorry Captain. Keep drinking the Kool-aid.

What part of the US is decaying and worse than 200 years ago? Do you really think the US is doing away with the bill of rights? Do you realize there was no bill of rights until well after the Articles of Confederation?

Well Captain lets start with congress slowly taking away our Constitutional Rights that are guaranteed in the Bill of Rights. Does the 2nd amendment bring anything to mind? The Patriot Act gives the government the rights to listen in on our phone calls whether they are hard line or cell phone, not to mention the fact that this goes against the personal freedom of speech; also guaranteed in the Bill of Rights. And the list goes on and on. Samuel Adams once said "If ever the time should come, when vain men shall possess the highest seats in government, Our country will stand in need of it's experienced patriots, to prevent it's ruin." I believe the time has come, just look at what is happening in Bunkerville, Nevada.
