I don't see the big deal, Obama has used social media more than any other President. He also used the MSM and multiple last night comedy show plugs.
This is just the MSM complaining about lack of their control.

LTC Shaw; That maybe because Social Media has pretty much come into general use, for better or worse, in the past 5 or 6 years and wasn't as widely existent as it is nowadays.
It's also an unfortunate fact that because of the main Stream Media's less than ethical behavior that "We the People" have largely come to mistrust them as being unprofessional and decidedly unethical & untrustworthy as a source of reliable information. But whose fault is that... really!

Yes, it bypasses the media and that is a good thing. For too long, the media has been manipulating public opinion and controlling what information the people get. Instead of being a watchdog on the government for the people, the media became a lapdog for the Globalist Progressives that ran our government, and it pushed a very toxic Progressive agenda on the public, a majority of whom opposed it, yet it was the Special Interests dictating and not the people.
Trump's use of Twitter is a direct hotline to the millions, including myself, that follow him on Twitter #realDonaldTrump. It cuts out the media as a go-between and gets Trump's message directly to those who want to hear it, without any Progressive spin... Trump's use of Twitter put the media on notice and I am loving it! If you listened to Trump's Inauguration Message, I think he knocked it out of the park and showed a level of humility not many people were aware that he had. Indeed Jan 20th marks a day that will go down in history as the day when power was returned back to the people.

Well said Captain Schwager... it's high time "We the People" put the so called Main Stream Media on notice, that they need to get back to their time worn real job of being the folks that "Report the News" by truthfully passing on to "We the People" what is happening in our Country and the World at Large... emphasis on "Truthfully"...
And that doesn't include Making up "the News" or "Fabricating the News the way they want it to be or believe it should be in their view"... Once they get that through their heads and start practicing "News Reporting" in that vain once again, "We the People" might once again begin to trust them as we once did... Until then, "We the People" will probably continue to rely on News... Straight from "the Horses Mouth" as it were!
"Trump's Twitter Truths" will for better or worse, remain one of the primary ways the facts are transmitted to the general public... Equating these transmittals as Hitlerian or other wise fascistic is at minimum, beyond childish and at most a grossly overt overreaction...
If anything is Hitlerian or fascistic it's the Main Stream Media's mis-characterization of Mr. Trumps words.

The 4th Estate tried mightily to influence the peasants to not deny the Czarina her Self Anointed Coronation. But then an interloper from the hinterlands rode into the kingdom and had the impertinence to bypass their propaganda and from his tower tweet all those lies and falsehoods regarding the honesty and humanity of the Czarina. The peasants listened to the tweets of the interloper and the 4th Estate could not stop the peasants from seeing the Czarina for who she was - a serial prevaricator whose arrogance was only exceeded by her narcissistic belief that her Self Anointed Coronation was already scheduled and no peasants were going to stop her. The Czarina's 4th Estate then spent countless hours telling the peasants who to vote for. They told the peasants that the interloper was a racist and homophobic cretin that had no business taking her throne from her. But the peasants did not listen. They had the impudence and temerity to think for themselves and came to the polls to deny the Czarina her Coronation. The INSOLENCE! The EFFRONTERY! The AUDACITY! Peasants are not supposed to think - the Czarina cried!

Let the Czarina go to where Czarina's belong... that is if Mother Russia will have her... perhaps Siberia is looking for a new Head of State?
