Since Multicam is technically different than the Scorpion ACU pattern, does the Army count Multicam as a matching pattern? For example, under 670-1, does Multicam "Match" the uniform? I noticed that most manufacturers of tactical packs make Multicam packs, but not "Scorpion" packs.

Here is an update that gets more specific than what I posted before:
Update, 23 Mar 18: Based on questions being received, Army G-1 Uniform policy has asked that we provide the below clarification to the ETP memo.

"While wearing the OCP ACU, backpacks may be of the following colors/patterns:

1. Operational Camouflage Pattern

2. Universal Camouflage Pattern

3. Solid Black

4. Solid Cream 524

5 Solid Tan 535

6. Solid Pale Green 526

7. Solid Olive 527

8. Solid Dark Green 528

9. Solid Brown 529

10. Solid Dark Brown 530

11. Coyote Brown

While wearing the UCP ACU, backpacks may be of the following colors/patterns:

1. Operational Camouflage Pattern

2. Universal Camouflage Pattern

3. Solid Black

4. Solid Desert Sand 500

5. Solid Urban Gray 501

6. Solid Foliage Green 502

While wearing the Class B uniform, backpacks may be of the following colors/patterns:

It does since 670-1 only states that it essentially cannot be a "fashionable/faddish"or "outlandish" color" (paraphrasing).

I guess if your commander said no, it wouldn't be wrong either as they have perview regarding what they will authorize or not, but that would be some serious micromanaging and misplaced concern.

Also consider that we will be using old UCP stuff for years to come. If that's your issues OCIE, your commander at that point can't really say much now can he?

I think your commander will have in mind many factors, UCP stuff for years to come at least. I am glad that the problem was resolved. Special thanks for the notes that are presented to the following letter on the site: https://ipayzz.com/de/paysafecard-casinos/. The answer is complete.

Does the Army currently count Multicam backpacks as fair game to match with the Scorpion pattern uniform?

What's the gist of the memo? Can you wear Multicam(TM) packs with Scorpion (USGI) ACUs?

SGT Jones, can you access AKO or HRC to see the MILPER Messsages? Ill try and paste it in here again.

1. I hereby grant an exception to policy to AR 670-1 , paragraph 3-7. This
exception is applicable to the Regular Army, the Army National Guard/Army National
Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve.
2. Effective immediately if Soldiers choose to wear a shoulder bag while in uniform, the
bag must be black, or match one of the colors of the authorized camouflage patterns
when wearing the Army Combat Uniform.
a. Soldiers are authorized to mix Universal Camouflage Pattern bags with Operational
Camouflage Pattern uniforms and Operational Camouflage Pattern bags with Universal
Camouflage Pattern Uniforms.
b. Soldiers may wear either a black or camouflage pattern bag with the Class B
Uniform.
c. Bags will not display any commercial logos.
d. The contents of the bag may not be visible; therefore, see-through plastic or mesh
bags are not authorized.
e. Soldiers may carry authorized bags by hand, on one shoulder using a shoulder
strap, or over both shoulders using both shoulder straps. Soldiers may not wear a
shoulder bag in such a manner that the strap is draped diagonally across the body, with
the bag resting on the hip opposite the shoulder holding the strap.
3. If a bag does not meet the requirements provided in paragraph 2, above, it must
comply with the provisions of AR 670-1, paragraph 3-7(f)(1).
4. This exception to policy is valid for one year or until such time as its provisions are
incorporated into the next revision to AR 670-1, whichever is sooner.

So yes!
