I'm unable to reach out to an old army friend of mine and I noticed that the MX records to us.army.mil are gone. A domain's MX record is used to handle mail transactions when you send email to a given address

Army enterprise email changed over to [login to see] in 2011.
in most cases a valid us.army.mil address would resolve to the [login to see] address if that person was still in the Army.

That was the AKO mail server address. Since AKO is no more, all the AKO addresses are gone.
